Reaching Knowledge, 2019
Lawrence Technological University Library

This sculpture was designed as part of a thematic series for the LTU library. Using discarded books as the main material, the outstretched arms were created with chicken wire and paper mache. The base was built from a book cover screwed in place onto plywood. The sculpture is meant to symbolize the mind's reach for knowledge through books.

This untitled piece was made for a project on abstract self-portraits. The materials used include steel wire, paper mache, spray paint, and cardstock. The sculpture is meant to represent a colorful personality as well as creation through constructed shapes in a vaguely human form.
