Psychedelic Series
This series of posters was created as a complementary visual piece to my book The Art & The Sound. I took inspiration from album artists of the sixties and seventies, including Hipgnosis and Roger Dean, as well as earlier inspirational design movements like Art Nouveau. My concept in designing these posters was to play with the shape and form of text and the use of bright, psychedelic color palettes.
Albums & Concerts Series
In the years since my psychedelic art project, I have continued to design posters for music acts new and old. Some posters were redesigned from the existing album covers while others are original designs created using elements from or thematic to the musicians and their branding. As someone with a deep interest in music, I enjoy learning about the process of designing a band or artist's visual identity, from logos to tour themes. On top of my love for poster design, this series has been one of my favorite projects.
